Four Ways To Style High Waisted Jeans
It’s time for another It’s time for another wardrobe remix. I’ve previously shown four ways to style overall dresses and four ways to style a jumpsuit, and four ways to style a teddy coat. Today, I’m starting with my all time favorite jeans — the Madewell 10″ high rise skinny jeans — to show you four ways to style high waisted jeans. They come in many washes and styles, are so comfy and have just the right amount of stretch and rise. FYI, depending on which fabric/wash, I usually size down. The only ones I didn’t were the super dark wash, stiffer jeans.
And Other Stories blazer (similar)
Minna Parikka cat loafers
I bought this double breasted blazer last year. I liked that it was slouchier and softer than others I have, making it a little more comfy and casual — but this would also look great with something boxy and structured (see more blazer options here). That’s also why I paired it with a cami instead of a button up. But even in a blazer, I somehow end up in cat flats. Business up top, party on my feet?
This is kind of like my Winter uniform, and I know we are going into Spring, but 1. I photographed these in the dead of winter and 2. without a coat on top, this could work on chillier Spring days or in Fall. This short sleeve version is perfect and on sale!
slouchy cardigan (majorly on sale!)
Keiko x Bonlook glasses
First things first: we have two new styles coming out in the Keiko x Bonlook collection, plus a special edition re-release of the original frames. I’ll announce when we have a launch date! Secondly, I love the contrast of a slouchy cardigan with skinny jeans — and a bold striped or graphic tee is an easy base to start with. Pair with flats or sneakers, or dress it up a little bit with some suede pumps!
d.Ra floral boxy blouse
If the buffalo plaid flannel and boots are my Winter uniform, this is my year round uniform. Seriously, I wear this top or another boxy button down (these are a go-to — I wear a lot of Madewell) or short sleeve blouse with skinny jeans all the time, and you’ll find me in flats more often than not.
