Something New
I always feel bad wearing my glasses in photos, because they’ve been out of stock for so long. I wear my “Keiko” frames more than any others, in no small part because I’m super biased and designed exactly what I was looking for, but whenever I take photos in them I end up with lots of questions about when they’ll be available. The truth is, I know little more than you do.
Though I designed them, I do not manufacture them or make any decisions about restocks. I don’t think they’ll be restocking these in any of the previously released colors, but I do have a great update for you: we’ll be releasing THREE styles and they’re coming very soon. I have the samples, have seen the final product, and I’m really excited about them. One will be a slightly tweaked version of what you see here, and two are all new…but still very me.
Madewell Jeans
Speaking of “very me” — I haven’t given up my beloved, go-to Madewell jeans (the 10″ rise), but in the past 8 or 9 months I’ve discovered that I love AGOLDE jeans a lot. I wear the Riley style most, but also recently ordered the “Pinch” which has an even higher rise and larger leg opening. On Shopbop, it says to size down in the Riley I’m wearing, but I ordered my usual size. I’m glad I did, because the second I washed them, they felt a lot tighter.
They stretch out as the day goes on, but I definitely wouldn’t be able to go down a size. Maybe I’m just used to vanity sizing, because I normally size down in Madewell jeans but find AGOLDE to be normal or even on the smaller side (when it comes to shorts and their more rigid washes). I don’t care about the number, just the fit, so I normally order a couple of sizes and return what doesn’t work. Am I the only person who prefers shopping online to trying on in stores?
