#DailyKeik: Every outfit I wore this week
I slacked off on my #dailykeik outfits on stories for the past however long we’ve been in self isolation. I just checked and it’s been 2 months?! Anyway, what is time? I decided to move my #dailykeik to a weekly roundup on the blog, and I want to make this so, so clear: please do not feel pressured to buy anything I am wearing. Truly, if you’re trying to save money and freeze unnecessary expenses, do not think I’m trying to get you to buy these things. Though part of my job involves marketing consumer goods to my audience, very little of my income comes from affiliate links. However, I linked what few items I’m wearing that are current / still available with RStyle links because I know I’ll get link requests…and it’s cool to make a few dollars if someone makes a purchase. Just a heads up!
Saturday: Green Corduroy Jumpsuit
I bought this green corduroy jumpsuit last year and thought, “Is this too specific? Will I get enough wear out of it?” Approximately 100 wears later, and I’m only mildly exaggerating, the answer is yes, I am definitely getting enough wear out of it. The belt is thrifted, the flats are the Naturalizer flats I wear all the time, I know. But they’re just so easy and comfy. The scrunchie can be found here.
Sunday: Sleeper Dress
Kim and I hosted a virtual tea party on IG Live, so the week started off strong. I wore this Sleeper dress and literal shoelaces in my hair.
Monday: Vintage Housedress
This vintage housedress has been in my closet for almost 15 years, and I still love it. The glasses are my Keiko-Chan frames from Bonlook and the flats are old Charlotte Olympia.
Tuesday: Tunic Flare Dress
Wow, I can’t believe how many questions I got about this dress. It’s a little over $20 an comes in lots of colors and patterns variations. I wear it a lot. I bought it for a trip to Disney early last year, and it’s easily one my most worn garments because it’s so comfy for around the house. Added bonus: it doesn’t wrinkle and the fabric is stretchy and substantial (meaning no slip required),
Wednesday: Korilakkuma onesie
It was one of those days. I bought this a little over 5 years ago on our first trip to Japan and wow, did I ever get the most out of this purchase!
Thursday: Vintage Cotton Dress
I’ve been going through my closet and rediscovering past favorites, like this vintage, gauzy cotton dress. However, it was a wee bit tighter in the bodice than it used to be, so I changed into a second outfit after taking some portraits. Which leads me to outfit #2…
Thursday: Outfit #2
Somehow I ended up putting on jeans, and then working like this for the rest of the day? At first, I was like…WHY and also HOW DARE I pick jeans with 0% stretch. But honestly, it wasn’t bad. I felt cute. Also, I tried to take a pic of my outfit and my tripod was pointed too low, but I was too lazy to redo it. Jeans are AGOLDE, shoes are block heels from JCPenney (found them: on sale), sweater is old H&M and crop top is Faithfull The Brand. Glasses are Keiko Lynn x Bonlook.
Friday: Well, this quite the 180.
Yesterday was one of those days when I just didn’t have it in me. I couldn’t even bring myself to wear matching pajamas. Top is thrifted and shorts are Adore Me, which is where much of my self isolation pajama wardrobe comes from. The glasses are the original Keiko frames from Bonlook, which are now available in an updated version. Also, this Peter Pan phone case is Otterbox and the moon glows in the dark!
Saturday: Vintage house dresses reign supreme.
And yes, it took me the whole post to realize I added an extra day, since I started on Saturday. See you next week!
