Lavender Gingham Maxi Sundress
While I’d love to be at Honeydukes — in Hogsmeade or the Wizarding World’s version of Hogsmeade — we are, in fact, living in this new reality of face masks and lots of staying home.
I have barely left my apartment in 5 months. But I’m actually pretty well adjusted to this new routine — but after a particularly emotional week, an outing was a must. We drove a couple hours away to visit a sunflower farm with friends. And before we met them we did a little exploring of our own. This was my “car outfit” — aka the one I could wear without worry of wrinkling it — because naturally I made myself a dress for the sunflower fields and chose the most wrinkle-prone cotton. Turns out this Lavender Gingham Maxi Sundress matched one of our stops, Lavender by the Bay, even if I didn’t even photograph it in that location (this is just a nature preserve nearby).
This is also the first time in a long time that we haven’t made a trip to the lavender farm. It was one of our favorite dog friendly activities, and even if it weren’t for the pandemic, I’m not certain we would’ve gone this year. However, after their harvest, we stopped by their second location to stock up on dried lavender sachets, a small bundle, and a new sleep mask filled with lavender. I keep dried lavender in my head vase, hanging in my closet, and now I sleep with it inside of mask. It’s a lovely and calming scent! I was a little worried that having lavender over my eyes might provoke some sort of allergic response but so far, so good.
