Do you decorate for the holidays? I decorate just one area of my living room, both for Halloween and Christmas — but even that little bit makes everything feel more festive. 

Halloween has always been a big holiday in our family. My sister Amanda’s birthday is just 2 days before, so we often had Halloween birthday parties for her — and my niece (Amanda’s daughter) was born on Halloween. My other niece, Lily, was born just the day after! We have lots of reasons to celebrate, wear costumes, and eat candy! Amanda decorates more for Halloween than she does Christmas, so by comparison mine is pretty understated.

I keep more of a pastel Halloween vibe, with metallics and touches of black to balance cute and spooky. I also like to dress up my statues with masks and Halloween headbands.
