7 Beautiful Airbnbs on My Wish List

I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the past several years, from a lovely little apartment in Paris to a Buffalo ranch in California. Especially since we always traveled with Miku, we preferred having a house where she would feel more comfortable and have room to roam. Even now, there’s something nice about having a completely unique experience and feeling home, even away from our actual home. While we have no travel plans during the ongoing pandemic, bookmarking dream stays for the future or nearby getaways we can safely isolate in are an escape all their own.

The Hunter Greenhouse:

This dreamy getaway has been on my wish list forever. It’s in a perfect area for skiing and tubing. And I can’t imagine how gorgeous it would be in the Fall! Like many of the most beautiful Airbnbs, you have to book far enough in advance to get an opening, but wouldn’t it be worth it for space like this, so close to the city and yet worlds away?

Converted WWII train car:

Traveling by train just isn’t as glamorous as I imagined it — or how it used to be, according to my favorite movies — but this converted WWII train car is everything. I never knew I wanted to live in a train car. But if it looked like this, I would be down!

Pennsylvania Storybook Cottage:

This isn’t listed as a “storybook cottage” but that’s all I can see when I look at the main photo. Live out your fairytale dreams. Imagine this in a snowy setting!

Joshua Tree Dome in the Desert:

This is the one Airbnb on my list that I’ve actually had the pleasure of staying in! I stayed here some years back. And though they’ve changed the decor since my stay, the heart of the space seems intact. I had an amazing girls trip here and enjoyed nightly stargazing, desert exploring, and even left with a tattoo that a Ouija board told me I should get.

Red Hook A-Frame:

I am a sucker for A-frame houses, but the airiness of this one makes it extra special. How is it that something can feel so open and bright but completely cozy? We’ve stayed in this little town many times over the years and it’s the perfect quick getaway from the city.

Vermont Schoolhouse:

Truthfully, I bookmarked this cozy retreat for Bobby, because I knew he would flip over that sauna. It doesn’t take much to make him extremely excited. But then I started looking through all the photos and realized this would be a dream destination for both of us. It’s on 270 acres. 270!!!

Montana Treehouse

Montana Treehouse:

Montana is another place I’ve never visited that is high on my list. Since I live in a city, I love being able to get out and into nature. This looks like something that would be on a Christmas postcard.

I have lots more on my Airbnb wish lists — including many unique places around the world — but I’m always looking to add more. Have you stayed in any incredible Airbnbs that I should add to my list?

p.s. If you’re planning on traveling, please remember to check and abide by state and local regulations, social distance, and wear your masks.
