I have always loved the idea of a capsule wardrobe. However, generally my taste is a little too eclectic and statement driven to adhere to one exclusively. However, I do find myself doing this for vacations — making sure everything can mix and match and be worn more than once — and more and more. I find myself gravitating toward this idea on the normal day to day. So, that way, I can have those statement days and have an easy, pared down way to dress more frequently.
As I looked through my Shopbop wish list, I realized I had inadvertently created two different capsule wardrobes. I’ll post the second one, soon! You can weartThe capsule wardrobe over and over and every which way. Add in a skirt, a pair of tailored pants, and maybe a simple t-shirt. Add a pair of flats that you already have in your wardrobe, and you have outfits for the whole month.
While most of these come from the under $200 section and can be worn for a lifetime. The Loeffler Randall knee boots are definitely more of an investment. But if you can afford them, they’re a timeless and worthy investment! My over the knee and knee high boots are different brands, but were around the same cost. I’ve had them for almost a decade. They’re a purchase you will not regret, if you find the right style and fit!
