Pink Christmas Decor part 2
Pink Christmas Decor: Our Bedroom
Over the past four or five years, I started adding more and more Christmas decor to our room. Come to think of it, that’s likely where my pink Christmas collection started. Traditional red and green feels out of place in our otherwise soft blush bedroom decor.
This year, I took a simpler approach to the pink Christmas decor in our bedroom: less tchotchkes, more garland. We added a few strands of pre-lit, flocked garland and a wreath that matched our tree. Just those few things — which took mere minutes to hang — made the whole room feel so festive and cozy. The garland behind the vanity was the icing on the cake! Everything was bought at HomeGoods, of course.
Pink Christmas Decor: our tree
I highly recommend adding a Christmas tree to your bedroom — nothing feels cozier. I wish it were acceptable to keep it up all year long, but I guess it wouldn’t feel as special. Here, I’m in a pink Christmas outfit with a pink linen picnic dress by Sleeper (it also comes in polka dot), satin bow by Elena Honch, and “Court Me” shoes by the radiant She is Cheval.
Our flocked Christmas tree got a few new additions, too: extra flowers (roses from the craft section, poinsettias from HomeGoods), hand tied velvet bows, and a new snowflake tree topper made it feel extra full and romantic. The pink pearls are a hand-me-down from my grandma.
I fall asleep so much easier these days, and though I know that a lot of it is being in a better mental state, I think having such a dreamy bed adds to it. You can see more info about our bed crown canopy in this post. I still love our bedspread, but I think it probably shouldn’t have been used and works better as a top decoration. I’m a little too low maintenance to have a bedspread that is purely for decoration, so that’s on me. Washing it has led to some puckering that you can see in the pictures, but it’s still pretty and it’s comfy so I’m just waiting until it’s beyond saving to get a new one.
Believe it or not, I’ve still been putting up decorations. I felt like I started early, but then I got busy and never finished the final room. The rest of the decor leans a little more traditional, so we will still have that festive red and green that is undeniably Christmasy. But I can’t deny that the pink Christmas decor has won my heart.
