A Private Photo Shoot at Disney World: Our Vintage Mouseketeers outfits
Bobby and I recently had the incredible opportunity to be hosted by Walt Disney World and participate in a private photo shoot at none other than Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. Um, pinch me!
A Private Photo Shoot at Disney World: Our Vintage Mouseketeers outfits
The castle is dressed up in her 50th anniversary best, and looks lovely at any time of day. But in an empty park, at first light? Absolutely magical. We left our resort at 6:30 AM and arrived to an empty park. I’ve taken advantage of the Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom, pre-pandemic, and we were lucky to have empty-ish photos, but going when no other guests are there felt like a next level kind of luck. When we got there with our group, the Disney World team and photographer were waiting for us with some 50th anniversary balloons in hand.
I brought a few outfits with me for the day. But I chose to wear my vintage looking Mouseketeer outfit for the castle shoot. Also, so that Bobby and I could have our photos taken together (I’ll show you the other looks, later). All these years into blogging and I’m still not used to having professional photographers take my picture — I take most of my own, or set it up and hand it to Bobby or my sister — but it’s so nice to have some cute photos of Bobby and I together at Disney.
Outfit Details
I made these shirts with these inexpensive t-shirts and some iron on letters. I bought a smaller size and then tailored it to fit me a bit better, since it was a mens shirt. We already had the hats (which are from Magic Kingdom), pants, skirt, and shoes. It really is the easiest outfit to throw together!
This trip is something we’ll never forget, and I’ll cherish these photos forever. How lucky I am to experience moments like this is never lost on me. Thanks so much to Walt Disney World for an incredible experience!
