I’ve been on a major shirtdress kick. Shirtdresses, rompers, onesies – anything that is slightly pajama-ish – I’m living in them. I picked up this Levi’s Plaid Shirtdress the other day, to add to my modest collection. But it’s not just about the comfort of shirtdress (though that doesn’t hurt); I just gravitate toward apparel that is not only versatile, it can stand alone. I can wear a skirt over it, wear it loose, belt it, button it to the top and add a bow tie, layer a sweater over the top (with the collar and cuffs peeking out), pair it with jeans – you name it. I can also just grab it and go; one piece and I’m done, no thought necessary. I’ll eventually do all of those and then some, but this time, I went with a classic denim jacket and my vampy new lipstick. It seems like fall just got here and we’re already bidding it adieu, so I wanted to simplify my outfit while it was still an option!
