Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, $54. Available today on UrbanDecay.com.

Those of you who asked for a tutorial for last week’s eye look: here it is! When I got my hands on the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, a couple weeks ago, I immediately had to try it out. I created this look based on one of their own smoky eye tutorials, which are included in the pamphlet inside the package (there are four different options). Naturally, I went with the “Smoky Cat” – a combination of my two favorite go-tos. Want to learn how to recreate this look? Follow the steps, below!

  1. Apply eyeshadow primer potion from lash line to the brow bone and also on the lower lash line.
  2. Highlight the inner corner with “High.”
  3. Using a flat shadow brush, apply “Dirtysweet,” starting at the edge of “High” and blending toward the center of the lid.
  4. Dampen a shadow brush and apply “Radar” to the center of the lid, blending it into “Dirtysweet.”
  5. Use the Smoky Smudger brush to apply “Whiskey” to the outer corner, blending it into “Radar” – and then drag it through the outer crease. The outer corner should swoop up and out, as pictured.
  6. Blend, blend, blend.
  7. Apply “Demolition” 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil to the lower lash line and blend “Whiskey” over it to soften the line.
  8. Apply cat eye liner to the top lash line (I used MAC “Blacktrack” Fluidline). Refer to my cat eye tutorial, for help. I also applied it in the lower waterline, for extra drama.
  9. Apply mascara. Done!

Wow! This looks amazing! I have never tried smoky eye but now I’m eager to try this out. I always love cat eye and so this a fun new idea for me. Ahhh! I can’t wait to try it out! Perhaps I’ll even use it for one of my outfit posts on my blog! I like the dramatic feel of smoky eye and so if I can just find an outfit that has the same type of dramatic vibe, it would make for an excellent outfit post. Thank you for sharing this. Have a lovely day xoxo -Sarah

I love this look and how smokey eye is combined with pink nude lips. Palette is just to die for and I like how shimmery these shades are

Oh my goodness!!! SO pretty!! But I seriously have to know what blush and lipstick you are wearing… They’re SO gorge!!!

I think it’s OCC lip tar in “Memento” – and the blush is an old MAC LE skinfinish.
