As I mentioned in my last post, I tend to wear things frequently and keep them throughout the years. I’ve already had these boots resoled once and had new zippers put in the black version, because I’ve worn them so much. As for the coat, I must have worn it a hundred times. I get a little peeved when I see or hear criticism for over-wearing any certain item; it makes no sense to me. After all, isn’t that the point of the purchase – to get as much wear out of it as possible? I don’t like to buy anything new unless I can imagine several ways to wear it without getting sick of it. Notice that I said “new” – that’s because I have a nasty habit of buying vintage clothing that requires a very specific occasion. If I’m ever invited to a prom, I have just the dress(es).
