The problem with my love of Australian brands is that our seasons don’t line up. Just as we’re bundling up, they’re releasing lightweight, summery pieces that call for sunshine. When I bought this Alice McCall playsuit, I knew I had to save it for LA and South Florida, because it would be months before I could wear it in NYC. I wore it when I interviewed Jennifer Aniston (totally normal day, you know?), which was a horrible idea, because it was a seated interview. It felt like it was getting shorter and shorter and more and more low cut… I couldn’t stop fidgeting and pulling at the hems. Compared to all of the oversized, shapeless dresses I’m usually wearing (or 75 layers of clothing), I felt like I was basically in a bikini. Back in Miami’s oppressive heat, it felt a little more appropriate. In fact, I could’ve literally worn a bikini – it was that warm. But meanwhile, back in New York…
